When people speak of "art", they often mean paintings, drawings, sculpture and the like. Personally, I think writing can also be art. Like all of the readily recognizable forms of art, the value is in the eye of the beholder. I've spent a good deal of time writing what can only be called humorous essays over the years. This started with my first humor column in a local school engineering magazine, of all places. Seeing a need for a feature that students would look forward to, I came up with the concept of writing humorous essays every issue under the header of "It's Technical". The half-dozen students who actually looked forward to these essays proved that humor does sell and started me on my illustrious career of humorous essay/article writing.

I continued to write humor columns in my local Jaycee chapter newsletter monthly and eventually graduated to writing them for the state Jaycee Newsletter in Michigan. At the same time, I wrote several things that I sent via email to friends, many of whom, even after reading this stuff, remain my friends to this day. Most of the articles here are of the email variety.

To date, I have been paid nothing for my written work. If that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what will.
