Three people generously donated their hair to Locks
of Love. At right you can see the audience watching M.A. d'Dogge, Patrick Hand and Lily
Alexander await the butchers...er the winners of an auction that was held to
see who would do the cutting. The highest bidder got to chose the
person's hair they wanted to cut, the second got the next choice and the
third took the remaining person. Oddly enough, Spike bid the most
and he wanted to cut M. A. d'Dogge's hair. Edward was next,
strategically picking Lily. (Which probably made him nervous. I wouldn't want to cut my
wife's hair. Not ever. ;) ) I think the twins Brig and Mae were stand
ins for the actual third place bidder. Brig notes that they had to stand on tip
toes to reach Patrick Hand's pony tail, so I'm sure they were going at
it blindly. We have a fine photo below of Patrick washing his hair in
advance of the event - something he claims never to have done before at
PiP. Notice also the expressions of the cutters. Brig and Mae look
slightly dazed, Edward looks a trifle relieved and maybe a little
nervous and Spike...well, you'll see. First Patrick, then Lily, then
M.A. d'Dogge.
